hello people,
this is my lil rant about how baad it is to work in a big retail store
ANYWAYS
during my adventures at working i have seen a few shoplifters,
eg
just a few weeks ago a family was caught because the mother was stealing clothes for her kids. had this whole interview and shit
just yesterday we had two cases of shoplifting a person came to get a stereo around 150 bucks and put it in hes coles bag (one of those green bags) ANYWAYS before he he ran to the front door he lifted the bag over hes head so the alarm wouldnt beep and ran too the streets.. mall security sucks balls
for the other incident we had a WORKER steal, they got caught by the management team but all of this for a some crappy games + camera . now its slack that they got caught BUT my supervisor did give them a chance too redeem themselves and get the things put back, and he would of forgotten about it. so the person thought noting of it and said they dont have anything, later while everything was shutting up shop, we are standing at the front door waiting for this person too come and show the bag. while searching we found the games but no camera, now its slack the person got fired on the spot, took the details down and now they have a permanent record on shoplifting.

if you're only another employee in the store how does it really bother you that much? I'm assuming you have very little responsibility or accountability in matters like these

thats fucking weak. try watching a worker nearly get stabbed with a syringe because you try to stop a guy from stealing meat. not worth it. scumbags.

Yeah its a point less thread therefore making it a rant, tommy I am in charge of the electronics area for the weekend just that it was under my watch and shit can get me into a lot of trouble because I gave the shit to the person thinking it was for a customer (which was but I didn't know it was her friend) and yeah shit like that can cost me my job because I was invovled in some way

Retail theft is hilarious, ive caught countless numbers of kids stealing before and the majority just shit their pants and leave, hell i used to chase people who legged it with dvds etc. But at the end of the day its not my job to give a shit. Winner.

Don't know why, but whenever I go into JB Hifi I go to have a look see if they have somethin I may want. Don't usually buy anything, and the security guy on the door always gives me a long look up and down like I am some bike stealing nigger with CD's stashed somewhere. I don't look dodgy.. do I? hahaha

a bit of a rant, but i wouldnt go so far as to say its pointless guyZ. if he works at a shop and ppl steal from there, u can often be held partially responsible so yer.

back in my days at kmart, i remember following a guy who had about 100 dvds in a trolley, he then went down to travel goods and starting fill one of our backpacks with them, since we cant actually do anything until he leaves the store, i proceeded to follow him around the store.
He then went down to bikes, took one of the display ones off the rack, put on the backpack and road out the store at full speed.
Nigger stole our bike + a bag + about 100 dvds

hahaha gomez, remember seeing some kid get caught at the kmart at hurstville, saw him sneak a few games into his underpants then try walk out. Got caught and literally shit his pants, remember seeing it ooze down his leg. Fuck wanting to recover those games

Some sick cunt "tried on" a pair of shoes in Rebel at Miranda and then ran out of the shop wearing them so 2 employees chased him out on the streets for a few blocks before giving up.

We had a smacky probably around 30 years old, come into our work and tried to dack a whole box mars bars, our security guard followed him around for ages untill he finally left the store. Picked him up and made him come to the office we the security guard accused him of stealing. The guy was still tripping and kept denying it until final he cracks and goes look I got nothing on me and starts taking off all his clothes in my office. Turns out he dumped the mars bars in another aisle, but I will never get that horrible image of this skinny rat looking smacky wearing nothing by 8 year old superman undies out of my head.
