Everyone likes to mock the $10b cash payment, but it revived Christmas by boosting retail sales (the main indicator for overall macro Consumption in the economy) for two months and kept GDP positive.
In a time like the GFC, what's important is not the actual GDP figure, but it's what the stupid fucking media report. If they reported two negative quarters of growth we'd have a lot more firms firing people 'just because we're in a recession'.

Rudd has done alot of good things in his 2.5 years in charge... No one gave him the term to prove what he could do..

Everyone seems to forget as well that our new "PM" had a major hand in every single one of Rudd's policies and fuck ups.
You see Rudd was voted in by the people (not by me) where she comes in as a back stabbing assassin where now all the world can see her naked ambition has been brought to light all along.
This won't help the Labor party it will only hurt them. Being a liberal man I cringe at the fact abbot is in charge it's to bad Turnbull didn't get brought down by doing the one thing a politican should never do....actually stick to their guns.
It's a disaster and makes Australia look very very back on the world stage.
