really dont see it being true despite it being on gotfrag, especially as they quote their source from it being on the eswc site yet it isnt on their at all yet. afaik the opening ceremony is tomorow and groups are getting drawn 7.30pm tomoz? could be wrong though..

99% sure they aren't the correct groups

if they are then they havent followed their own seeding guidelines

#1 seed (should be mTw, but perhaps MYM (back to back eswc's)) should be in group A

prettttyyy sure it has to be fake, ESWC is run off seedings and i dont think those seeds are right lol.. but even if it is real, who cares really? they are treating this like a practice, what better to prac 3 of the best teams in the world ? id love it

better practice would probs be progressing as far as possible tbh to get as many games in as possible as a team together, most of the teams at the comp are good so the differences between playing the best team and a team way lower down on the rankings would be neglibable

pretty sure x3o pulled out jase, could be wrong though - but yeh hltv.org announced them as the groups as the opening ceremony already happened apparently, so yeh i guess they are real.

lol @ whoever did the seeds is a complete spastic

Talking to the boys in a few minutes. However at this stage first reports are that the release is correct. They didn't bother with seedings. :)

seeds don't make any sense..
according to http://www.eswc.com/masters/cheonan2009/?c=competi... group C should be seed #3, 5, 9 and 15
i don't know how these groups were done but i hope they're wrong, would suck to see fnatic/mym/SK out this early.. as for iM if they're taking this event as a practice for kode5 it's better to face those 3 teams than UMX or any other random team, even if their chances of going through are almost inexistant

pretty sure better practice would be to beat the teams like UMX,speeder (not the big name teams like fnatic, mouz) in groups, progress through that and play some really good teams in the bo3 stage

Just confirmed, these are the correct groups. They decided to draw them out of a hat and ignore seedings. Tomorrow is a 'rest' day and competition starts on the 4th - we'll have some video up during the event so tune into our IRC channel and Website for updates.

It is great that they have ignored seedings and decided to draw teams out of a hat.

How lucky can Immunity be? Getting the chance to play top teams like fnatic, SK and Wicked first up. Every other team must be dying to be in this position. This is a great way for Immunity to put Australia CS on the international map.

Although I believe they are gonna get smashed; it is still better than advancing from a s-h-i-t group and lose to mediocre teams. Atleast we get to see how Immunity go against top teams.

Go Immunity, do Australia proud!
